The social planning committee will have its first meeting on Thursday, Feb. 13 at 4 p.m. (location TBD). The committee will plan its first event of the semester--possibly a St. Patrick's Day party--and gather ideas for other events to have throughout the spring. Committee members will also decide on a time and place to meet every month, so it is pertinent that you email Allison (firstname.lastname@example.org) with your weekly availability if you cannot make it to the meeting but would like to join the team. If you plan on coming, please contact Allison as well.
The ESOL Social Planning Committee is calling for new members to help make this season more fun and enriching for our participants. We've often heard our volunteers and participants ask for a way to become acquainted with members outside their immediate partner pairings or groups. And so, ESOL would like to have a group of its volunteers faithfully meet these demands by meeting together once a month and planning events where participants can simply have fun or find opportunities to explore the larger DC-College park area.
